Christmas Wreath Ideas

Fall is here and the leaves are turning, which means our peak season is about to begin! This summer has been so busy. Renovating a 1900’s house so that we could move our offices to Ellsworth has certainly been an exciting whirlwind of activity. But with things getting a bit more settled now, I’m ready to start playing around with wreath designs. I’m hoping to put together some fresh new choices for sale this Christmas.

Researching wreath designs has left me feel pretty darn inspired so I thought I’d put together a fun list of some of the amazing designs I found. There are some really fantastic wreaths out there!

Bows, pine cones, berries and clusters of cinnamon nestled among evergreen branches.

Rich, deep red tones add a luxurious feel to this full wreath. The antique door compliments the upscale rustic qualities of the wreath.

The country star shape appeals to the more rustic decoration lovers and provides a new twist to wreath making. Simple enough to do yourself, the end result is full and fragrant for very little investment.

Another really neat approach to Christmas wreaths, fresh greens arranged in the shape of a horse’s head. I know a couple people who would swoon over a wreath as fine as this!

Plaid is an important part of any Christmas decor. Nothing adds a homey feeling quicker than a nice plaid ribbon thrown into the mix.

I like the idea of playing with volume and lines using big leaves and berries piled on top of evergreen boughs and bare branches.

Natuical ornaments secured alongside fresh balsam, cedar and pine boughs bring up such warm feelings of home here in Maine.

Dried fruits add not only color but fragrance that will be a sweet greeting for company.

I love the earthiness of this wreath. The birch cuff is a gorgeous addition and the rope wrapped around the greens is a really down to earth touch.

Vintage ornaments adorn a lush circle of balsam boughs. A polka dot bow adds a modern element of whimsy.

Moss seems like an exciting and adventurous choice for an evergreen. Easy to care for, moss clumps arranged together form a velvety circle of elegance.

One of the best parts about wreath making is enjoying the artform. It’s fun to see what other people make. There are so many options for every taste. Personally, I prefer fresh greens in my Christmas wreaths, for reasons you can read about in my blog 7 Reasons to Buy Real Christmas Wreaths. What kinds of things do you look for in your wreaths?
